A faculty member at Cornell University informed her about the American dissertation fellowship.
Danielle’s first contact with AAUW was applying for the American dissertation fellowship. It was exciting! Danielle felts as if her dissertation project was a great fit with the AAUW mission, and it was very rewarding to have her research recognized by such a prestigious organization. The fellowship enabled her to focus solely on writing and research, and she was so grateful for this wonderful opportunity.
Danielle is now a member of AAUW Empire State Virtual Branch and she looked forward to being involved in AAUW events this year as well as in future years.
The American fellowship allowed Danielle to devote her time fully to research and writing. She is currently working on an article that she will send to a political science journal this fall. She will also be presenting her research at two academic conferences this year, one in January and one in April. In short, this is such a great opportunity for her to focus on her dissertation and pursue publication.
